Described by his colleagues as an outstanding musician, Richard Melo brings passion and unique artistry to his music. His style is pop-based with influences from artists like Billy Joel, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Charlie Puth. 

During his undergraduate studies, he collaborated with fellow students by supporting solo and ensemble performances. In 2023, Melo earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Performance with a piano emphasis from California State University, Fresno, graduating cum laude. This led him to earning an Occupational Skills Certificate in Commercial Music at Pasadena City College the following year, where he developed his music production skills and became an Avid Certified Pro Tools Specialist. 

Since October 2023, Richard has served as an accompanist for both the Covina-Valley and Duarte Unified School Districts. In these roles, he provides adaptive accompaniment for students at varying skill levels as he collaborates with directors to strengthen performance quality while continuing to grow and learn in the music industry.
